The recruiting process can be stressful for high school players looking to make the jump to the next level. Phone calls, texts, visits, and camps can be a lot to juggle, especially while still keeping up with school. There is a lot of pressure when it comes to making a decision that will affect the rest of your life. Some players try to have fun with the process and revel in the spotlight. Others just hope to get any opportunity at all.
Logan Point doesn't have these concerns. Several college programs have been showing interest in the multi-sport athlete, but when the one he wanted offered him a scholarship, he didn't hesitate to pull the trigger. In April, Point became the first player to give his verbal pledge to join Navy's 2020 recruiting class.
"I'm not really one for a big show or anything," he said. "I knew I wanted to go Navy. My dream is to be a Navy SEAL. There's really no point in taking any time thinking about it. I pretty much already had my mind made up."
